Nashon has a vast experience in the sugar industry spanning over 35 years. Prior to his appointment on 15 th June, 2017, he was the Interim Manager, Technical and Advisory Services Department at the Sugar Directorate – Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA). Previously, he worked at the Kenya Sugar Board as the Head of Sugar Technology, Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology as a lecturer in the department of Sugar Technology and Mumias Sugar Company where he rose through ranks from a management trainee’s position to the head of projects & business development.
Mr. Aseka holds two Masters degrees, an Msc in B/Services Engineering & an MBA (delivered by Henley Business School) both from Brunel University (UK), a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from University of Nairobi, Diploma in Company Direction (Corporate Governance) from Institute of Directors, London & a distinction certificate – Gold Medal Award in Sugar Technology from Mauritius and is a fellow of the Institute of Directors (FinstD), UK.
He served before as a member of the Synodial standing committees of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) dioceses of Butere and Mumias.
